With the Trial of Saddam Hussein slated to happen in late Spring, alternative television program maker Planet Group Entertainment is now in production on ÂSaddam, Master of BaghdadÂ
The Final ChapterÂ. Now thereÂs a real ending.
Paris, France (PRWEB) February 2, 2004
The summer of 2002 found the Paris-based TV program maker filming in Iraq, collecting materials for a biography on Saddam including attendance at one of his Birthday parties. The One Hour Special was completed and aired internationally just before the start of the War and received high audience ratings, including the rating of Âmost-watched program 2003 on Arté, the French/German terrestrial broadcaster.
According to award winning director Michel Vuillermet ,ÂOur original idea for the film was to tell the story of how the guy got to be so powerful, how he managed to scare the daylights out of everyone, including most foreign governments, and why he managed to stay in power for so long. Now itÂs time to go back and do a real ending so that people can learn more not about how he was captured, but why. We know there were attempts made on his side to make deals, we know he was betrayed by some of his top people, we know thereÂs more to the story than meets the eye. So what we know, we will present in the new filmÂ.
ÂSaddam, The Final Chapter will include exclusive interviews, revealing the real story behind his final demise and will air throughout Europe, Asia, Latin and North America in early June 2004.
